What to Expect on the STAR 3rd and 4th Grade Test
The STAR assessment for 3rd and 4th grade is a computer-adaptive test developed by Renaissance that helps schools measure a student’s current skills and academic growth in Reading and Math.
The test adapts as your child works. A correct answer generally leads to a more challenging question, while an incorrect answer leads to an easier one. This allows STAR to identify what your child is ready to learn next rather than giving every student the exact same set of questions.
